Earl Gray Easter Sponge Cake
With Easter coming, it's the perfect time to bake a delicious family cake!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup unbleached white flour
 - 1/4 cup salt
 - 1/2 tsp baking powder
 - 4 eggs
 - 1 cup of sugar
 - 1/2 tsp. vanilla
 - 1/3 cup of water
 - 2 c. of tea from Earl Gray BU by Espace thé
 - Icing sugar to taste
 
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 350 °
 - Butter a 24 cm fluted cake pan
 - Beat the egg yolks with half the sugar
 - Mix the dry ingredients (flour, salt, baking powder)
 - In another bowl, beat the egg whites and gradually add half of the remaining sugar
 - Add the egg whites to the egg yolk mixture
 - Infuse Earl Gray BU tea by Espace thé in 1/3 cup of water
 - Add the brew tea to the egg mixture
 - Gradually add the dry ingredients to the mixture
 - Put the cake mix in the mold
 - Cook for 25 to 30 minutes
 
Decoration:
- Sprinkle cake with icing sugar
 - Hide chocolate coconuts in the center of the cake
 - Be imaginative and have fun!
